Important FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly are my Google+ updates automatically tweeted out?
It takes up to 30 minutes for your Google+ updates to get tweeted out via your Twitter account. We perodically check your account for updates and send them to Twitter as soon as we find them.

If your account is signed up to ManageFlitter Pro, we will check your account much faster. Your Google+ posts will appear within 2 minutes on Twitter.
Why have none of my Google+ posts appeared on Twitter?
You must make your posts public on Google+ for them to appear on Twitter. We decided to only push public posts to Twitter because it kind of makes sense to synchronize the two, and anything else is just really hard to do.
Can I send my Twitter updates to Google+?
Not yet! Once Google rolls out an API for Google+ we'll add an option to send posts the other way as well. Watch this space, as they say.
Can I selectively send Google+ updates to my Twitter account?
Yes, click "expand" next to "Advanced Options". Select the first option and only Google+ posts with #twt in them will then be sent to Twitter.
Does ManageFlitter have a Google+ page?
Yes! Add us to your circles for Google+ related updates.

Connecting TWITTER to other websites

Connecting TWITTER to other websites

I personally prefer twitter because of its connectivity with mostly all the websites means if you send a message from twitter it can be displayed to all social websites you are connected with such as Facebook, myspace, blogger and a lot of to name to.

This guide starts with connecting twitter to facebook, myspace & rest you can do, if you feel any problem write to me in comments or message me.

Log in to your Facebook account and later open this URL

On the right top, you will find a button Go to App to add the application.

To open a account with twitter click here

On the next page, you will see a button that says “Go to your Twitter Profile Settings to start”.

When you will click on the button, you will be redirected to the Twitter website.

You will be required into Twitter. Enter your Twitter account’s user name and password. Your log-in Information is safe.

Once you successfully login into Twitter you will automatically taken to the profile page.

Scroll down the page till the Facebook option. There you will find a button that says “Posts your tweets to Facebook “and then press Save.

Allow the application and Authorize Access for Twitter to Facebook.

Once you do so then every time you update anything of Twitter it will also be changed on Facebook too.

Now you can repeat this process with other websites also. Just log in to your account for example myspace.com

USING SOCIAL MEDIA FOR PROMOTION OF POSTS

As you can I have marked the arrows click the links and add twitter and facebook to your profile. This will enable you to send messages from twitter to (myspace.com) your websites & vice-versa.

This post will tell you the SECRET to thousands of Fans for your blog

Follow the instructions . You can do as you like once you are familiar with the system.

Join Twiends.  This website will give you followers on twitter.

Sign up with your twitter account if you have one, if not the first open up by clicking twitter on this page.

Once you join Twiends you get 25 free seeds. These seed are like credits to be used on this site.

Now go to settings and add your details. Verify your E-Mail address and earn extra seeds.

By default you lose 2 seeds every time someone likes your page on twiends. If you have lots of seeds but not getting enough likes/fans then increase the seed value to 3. The higher the seeds the faster you get the fans and followers.

Now same as above there is another website Tweers giving you followers for twitter and facebook. Join this site by clicking the Tweers.

They run the same process but instead of seeds they call it points.

Join http://hitfollow.info/logintra.php this will give you 100 followers for free and if you are member they give 3000 member to follow you, in a month.  I found this one amazing; you can log in after 24 hours and get another 100 fans for free. (That’s the trick)

If you seek only country specific fans then tick your country option as show above. You can also set what kind of users is allowed to follow you. Set you seed offer and see your fans growing steadily over time.

Now the most important part is getting the seeds. Once you are out of seeds you get no birds. I mean you get no fan/followers.  You can get more seeds by liking other people’s pages, watching YouTube videos, following twitter accounts and much more. Finally you can buy some seeds if you don’t have spare time to kill doing all those activities I mentioned before.

You can replicate the same success with your twitter account and YouTube account.

Thanks – I hope this helped you. If it did, recommend this post to your friends please, and don’t forget to write your beautiful comments.

Twitter Guide 4 U

Twitter is most commonly described as a micro blogging site which in easy terms can be called a service among the members, as a family to stay connected with short questions or answers.

It’s a platform for communicating in a new way and finding people of same interest. This site is called a micro blogging site because messages posted on this site are just 140 characters in maximum. These messages are called Tweets.

We can say Twitter is a Social networking site because rather than see everyone’s tweet or just of your own tweets, you can choose whose tweet to read and reply to. Your tweets can be seen by the persons who opted to read your tweets by becoming your followers.

Now as you reply to someone’s tweets means now this is not a micro blogging site it is making connection between two persons or groups in very short time. Imagine a home party and as simple as you express your views about the drinks or food.

My motive of writing this blog is to make my friends & bloggers who still don’t understand as to how Twitter can turn their blogs into Goldmine.

                                                      Join Twitter.com

As you can see sign up page it’s very simple and user friendly. Choose you user name to something which you can relate to, that’s very important to have a good name. Twitter will help you to choose a right name, check the green text for that also proves that you are human, and fill the catch. You can join Twitter with any valid email id.

Now after logging into, you can post your tweets and view what other persons had tweeted.  Invite all your friends using friend invitations from twitter website. Twitter is friendly with mostly all of the popular email servers.  Who to follow, Twitter will provide you to follow 20 people you can choose them from a big list. They can be celebrity, politicians, famous musicians, painters & whatever.

You should follow them with count or how popular are they.  If you don’t find them in list from Twitter, you can do it on your own using search on twitter page by searching for desired name
Twitter.com/anil_4230 (That’s me).

When you click on this link you can find me there and all my tweets and if you clicked “follow “, then you can share all my tweets in real time.

You can reach to your home page by just clicking Twitter logo, as shown below.

Image – Who is here?

Sending tweets:

Sending your tweets is very important task as you can see in the figure shown above There is a space provided to write in your tweets there is a word calculator there to help you to count the words , maximum limit is 140 characters so be precise.  Clicking on Ok button will send your tweets to persons or followers who opted to read your tweets.
Sending URL with text: You can send your hyperlinks to your posts which will be converted to a new one. This service is provided free of cost to users by tinyurl.com. Now you can find a lot of such link shortening websites such as ad.fly, bit.ly, snip.url and a lot of them.

Replying a Tweet:

Someone tweeted and you read his tweet & now you want to comment on that. For commenting purpose move your mouse to the right side of message you can see there one star and one arrow. Star is for marking your favourite and the arrow allow you to comment on. So click on, whatever you would like to do. Clicking on reply the username of person will be prefixed with @ symbol that is to tell Twitter it’s a reply to user’s tweet and you can continue typing the text. To post now we would be clicking on reply button.
Now whenever I check in Twitter I can see all the replies or comments on my tweets by clicking @ replies on the right side of twitter webpage
You can also send Direct Messages to persons; sometimes it is not necessary to tell all of your followers you can simply choose anyone. Use capital D give one space Type the name of person & you can send this to only the person you selected.

My setting:
You can customise your Twitter account as follows:
1.    Accounts tab :  click to change your  user name, email  and other informationabout you.
2.    Password tab : you can change or edit your passwords by this key.
3.    Devices tab : This is very important tab. You can configure your mobile for sending your updates using your mobile phone. Mostly all operators provide free services to do so, you can opt this service  with you telephone operating company.
4.    Notice tab: You can amend this tab on how many and on what subject twitter should mail you .

5.    Pictures : Twitter allow you to upload a picture of yourself so that your followers can see you or your brand image, for this maximum size is 700 Kb. You must use this feature  because this gives you authentication among your followers.

What’s more on Twitter

Re-Tweet : A lot many times we see some good tweets and wished if I would have written this. You cannot steal someone’s tweet that’s considered bad in twitter so this word Re-tweet has been invented. Its called RT in short form. By re-tweeting  you are simply giving the credit to author and sharing it with your followers. The process to do the same is as of replying.
Re-tweeting can increase followers of the person who initially wrote that tweet. So you have to manage  in a form that your tweets should be re-tweeted. There is no formula for that, only your efforts and quality of text depends.

Hashtag :

The first step is easy: use a specific hashtag in your Tweets to set them apart from your day-to-day output and provide context for your followers. If you're live-tweeting about an event, the hashtag ensures that your Tweets will be part of the larger conversation, too. (For instance, if you were tweeting about the Emmy Awards, you'd use the hashtag #emmys.) On the other hand, if you're creating a Twitter event of your own, you can create an original hashtag to go with it. The Rock started a live Q&A called #RockTalk in late August 2011:

Over the course of two hours of live-tweeting, his followers were treated to candid responses from one of their favorite personalities:

Play to your strengths

Focus on the kind of Tweets that only you can create. If you're tweeting an event, that could mean sharing your insider perspective, especially if you're behind the scenes or sitting in the audience yourself. You know your style and your strengths: will you simply report on what's happening or share strong opinions? Will you answer questions from your followers or keep it one-way? Will you play the role of the expert or the explorer? The key is to do what comes naturally to you.

Trey Wingo is one of the hosts of NFL Network's NFL Live, but he uses Twitter on game days to keep his followers up to date on everything that's happening across the league. He throws out facts...

and comments on big moments:
He's become the go-to football live-tweeter, providing an insider perspective for everyone who cares about the sport.

Add photos

Photos resonate on Twitter, especially when they show scenes that your followers don't usually get to see.

Don't underestimate the power of a zoomed-in detail: you can show your followers what shoes you're wearing or who you're sitting behind at the big award show. For example, check out this great Tweet from Lea Michele during the Emmys:

The technical side of live-tweeting

When you live-tweet, you always need to be aware of which followers are seeing which Tweets. In general, you can be liberal with @replies; most of them won't show up in your followers' timelines unless they also follow the person you're talking to.

For example, this Tweet is only visible to the followers of @TwitterMedia who also follow @TheCloser_TNT:

But this Tweet is visible to all of @TwitterMedia's followers because the @ symbol comes in the middle of the Tweet:

Therefore, one good approach for a Q&A is to retweet a question to all of your followers, then answer it with a Tweet of your own, making sure not to start the Tweet with a @reply, because you want all your followers to see it. That's whatJustin Timberlake did when he conducted his #AskJT session in July 2011.

First, he retweeted a question from a fan...

...then, he answered it with a Tweet of his own:
You can also quote a Tweet and respond with one or two words of your own. That's what Kyra Sedgwick did when she live-tweeted the summer finale of her show "The Closer" in September 2011:

There are many ways to get the right Tweets out to the right people. The key is to understand that when you @reply to a Tweet, it's not guaranteed that all of your followers will see it, so you need to plan for the effect that you want.

How many Tweets?

It's important to realize there's no predefined optimal number of Tweets to send in a live-tweeting session. You've got to do what feels right. Tweet when you're inspired. If you're not inspired: just answer questions, or play reporter and comment on events as they unfold.

If a live-tweeting session just doesn't take off: that's fine. Call it a day and wait until next time. But conversely, if you're getting great engagement and your followers are @replying you and retweeting you like crazy, there's nothing they want to hear more than: "Okay, you know what? I'll stick around for another fifteen minutes."

Of course, you should be conscious of that fact that you're tweeting more than normal, and possibly filling up some followers' timelines—but don't stress. Time and time again, we see that live-tweeting leads to follow growth.

During a screening of his film "Private Parts" on HBO in February 2011,
Howard Stern tweeted a live commentary track to his followers. He shared insights that you'd never get just watching the movie:
He sent hundreds (!) of Tweets over the course of the movie's airing, and that provides an important insight: When you sit down to live-tweet, you don't know how many Tweets you'll send. There is no quota—no right or wrong number. That said: for most people, tweeting every minute is too much (unless your current situation is incredibly unique) and tweeting less than four times in an hour is too little.

Remember this is not the time to drive traffic back to your website. You want your followers to stay engaged here on Twitter—to keep @replying and retweeting you. So feel free to tweet a link, but do it only at the very end of your live-tweeting session.

No time like the present

The wonderful thing about live-tweeting is that it's so easy: you don't need anything other than Twitter itself and a little bit of time. Justin Timberlake conducted his #AskJT Q&A session from the plane. You can live-tweet from the green room. You can live-tweet from the cab. You can live-tweet from home. You can live-tweet... right now
